Foundation Programme

The Foundation in Science and Arts is a 1-year full time comprehensive programme designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge and learning essential for the smooth transition to undertake an undergraduate degree at local and overseas universities.  The programme offers diverse modules in disciplines such as technical science, management, finances, mass communication and visual arts. By the end of the programme, students will have a clearer direction and better understanding of their fields of interest. The modules offered will enhance students’ academic knowledge, expose students to latest developments in the respective areas of studies and foster their critical thinking skills.

Route to bachelor degree programme at UniKL:

 

Entry Requirement for Engineering Programme (Bachelor) Pathway

Pass SPM / SPMV / O-Level with at least credits in FIVE (5) subjects including Mathematics and 1 Physical Science subject.

Entry Requirement for Engineering Technology Programme (Bachelor) Pathway

Pass SPM / SPMV / O-Level with at least credits in FIVE (5) subjects including Mathematics and 1 Science / Technical / Vocational subject.

Entry Requirement for Science Programme (Bachelor) Pathway

Pass SPM / SPMV / O-Level with at least credits in FIVE (5) subjects including Mathematics and 2 Science subjects.

Entry Requirement for Arts / IT / Business Programme (Bachelor) Pathway

Pass SPM / SPMV / O-Level with at least credits in FIVE (5) subjects including Mathematics.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE

  1. Graduates who are knowledgeable and competent in their respective field of study, capable of pursuing further                    education at Universiti Kuala Lumpur or other institutions of higher learning.
  2. Graduates who are able to use knowledge and comprehension to identify and apply data in response to concrete and        complex problems.
  3. Graduates who have (ethical disposition), effective leadership and team work as well as verbal, non-verbal and                      interpersonal communication skills to relate to peers and supervisors.
  4. Graduates who are innovative and committed to the importance of lifelong learning and continuous improvement.

  5. Utilise basic digital technology applications to seek and process data related to a specific field of study.
