Introduction

At UniKL MSI, research and innovation development is managed by Research and Innovation Section (R&I) to facilitate research activities which include exploration for research funds, research awareness training and development of research policy. Our university has a unique profile of international research with several top rated areas. Much of our research is undertaken in collaboration with industries with industries and profession, which ensures its relevance of appliation to the outside world. Research activities cross all schools and departments and breaks traditional boundaries while maintaining an excellent reputation in being responsive to the needs of the business and the community. These pages provide a gateway to the research activities here at UniKL.

Student Research (FYP)

The student’s final year project will be guide and train by our experienced lecturer. The training is based on live projects and the students will be ensure to get practical knowledge on the working and technical details of the project. Most of the excellent final year project will be commercialized through innovation competition or directly to the public.

Research Partnership

There are many grant sources that is applicable to apply; both internal (STRG) and from external agencies (FRGS, eScience, Technofund, Innofund). Our research activity is focused on developing new technologies and products to support our techno-entrepreneurship ventures with our researchers, graduates and industrial partners. The university partners with many other local and international universities and research institutions to bring closer research knowledge into successful application and commercialization.

Research & Innovation Commercialization

The management of matters pertaining to intellectual property will be managed and coordinated by this section in accordance with the policies as stipulated in the UniKL Intellectual Property document. Here in UniKL MSI, we are responsible in Intellectual property protection, Patents and Commercialization of research findings.

Much of our research and innovation project is undertaken in collaboration with industries and profession, which ensures its relevance of application to the outside world. Research activities is being responsive to the needs of the business and the community.
