Dr Rafael meanwhile shared on the history of the World Bank and how the World Bank is involved in the Malaysian economy. Among the interesting points brought up by  Dr Rafael were, "I was exposed to Malaysia when I was in Africa a while ago. This attracted me to Malaysia and I am here to learn from her, not to give advice on the Malaysian economy," he quipped.

He added, "Malaysia is categorised as a High Middle-Income Nation, and is now in a good position to achieve High Income Nation status and the World Bank is in Malaysia to help realise this dream."
